LVJIAN® Cellulose Fiber for road applications is an inert organic fiber structural chain derived from natural wood through chemical treatment that breaks down most of the fiber components. It is widely used in SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) and OGFC (Open-Graded Friction Course) highway pavements. The excellent thixotropic, protective, absorptive, carrier, and filling properties of wood fiber enable superior performance in SMA mixtures, enhancing the anti-aging ability and durability of asphalt layers, thereby significantly extending pavement service life. It is an indispensable stabilizer in pavement construction, typically available in flocculent or granular forms.
| Forms a three-dimensional network in asphalt | Provides reinforcement effect | |
| Obstructs asphalt flow | Keeps the asphalt film in a relatively stable state, effectively preventing asphalt bleeding even under high-temperature expansion | |
| Fiber has strong adsorption | Fully absorbs asphalt within the mixture and tightly adsorbs surface asphalt, increasing asphalt content and thickening the asphalt film, thereby enhancing anti-aging properties and greatly extending service life | |
| Easy to disperse | With just 5-15 seconds of pre-mixing, uniform distribution is ensured, and this characteristic also prevents the formation of agglomerates in the mixture |
