Environmentally Friendly Disposal

Because LVJECEL^® Cellulose Filter Aid is completely biodegradable, non-polluting filter residues can be profitably recycled for use in plant cultivation, composting, or animal feed. Additionally, due to the BTU value and extremely low ash content of LVJECEL^® Cellulose Filter Aid, contaminated filter residues can be thermally recovered in a very cost-effective manner. In certain cases, through residue-free incineration of LVJECEL^® Cellulose Filter Aid, valuable materials that were previously filtered out (such as catalysts) can be recovered.

Due to the fibrous structure, saw-tooth surface, and large pore volume of LVJECEL^® Cellulose Filter Aid, it typically delivers higher flow rates. At the same time, the elastic response of the fibers leads to pressure surges that enable longer filtration duration. They bridge damaged points in the filter medium and, through internal bonding, make subsequent filter cake washing simpler.
